Check out a book called The Diet Cure, written by a nutritionalist who worked in rehab centers for years. Amino Acids can heal your brain. The book explains how. Dont give up. You can heal.

Hello, This is rather late after you posted but I wanted to check in on you. I can tell you that at the rate you have been going you will only see more and more health problems, I did. Plus you know by now that the brain you posses that is addicted will say anything to you so that it gets what it needs. It will lie overtime about your ability to control your use but you will never be able to. You do need help and rehab is a good place to start or NA. Tell people around you who will hold you accountable and support you. Look into amino acid supplement to rebuild your brain chemistry. It is possible to heal. You can do it. Sending you you love. ~T

Not bad! I saw an If For Girls years ago that was condescending, sexist and nauseating. Thank you for rescuing the idea.

Hi, I just want to say that I've experienced similar things and they feel very scary sometimes. A spiritual intuitive advised me that nothing from the spirit realm can cause you harm unless you give them permission and that you can ask them to go away and they have to obey. So saying a prayer and hoping they go away is pretty right on. I've been trying to have more control so I don't enter panic mode but it is hard when you are half asleep.

We need feminism because there are men and 'sadly" women who want to control, and end other women's person choices and rights and keep us quiet an deal with it in the dark. they want to end our rights to choose all the above you stated!! , that a MAN should be in control of a women's body and unborn organ! because it is so called '' a mans baby too? Bullshit! so he should have a say so about weather or not a women has an abortion or not?? no no no!! its not a man's choice or anyone's but the expected mothers choice. Also I do not see myself EQUAL to men! I love being a women in a mans world, we have sooo much control in this roll as women. I have a say so, I have rights, I like being a woman. BUT I will be damed if someone tells me what I can and cannot do with my body and my life. and that is why we need Feminism! we need women to keep and stand our ground because If you do show any weakness men will take that an run with it.

I am currently experiencing cognitive issues following a diagnosed CSF leak. It all started 2 months ago.
I have gone through headaches (gone after 10 days), diplopia (gone right now), pressure in the head (still there).
I have not been treated yet, and I feel my mind is slower that it used to, it takes more time to process all information.

I am scared about this and considering a blood patch to resolve the situation although my neurologist recommends bed rest (wait and see approach).

Is there any insight on recovery from these cognitive issues after succesful patching? How long does it take?

Hello. On 12/9/16 at 6AM MDT (tomorrow), I will be starting a period in which I will not sleep. I am attempting to stay awake for longer than the record now (11 days), and even longer than that, recording my symptoms and mental state. Is there any advice for how I can stay awake even longer?

Having experienced vasovagal syncope myself I have come to the conclusion that it provides an evolutionary benefit to the species as a whole by increasing the probability of death of the individual. If the individual doesn’t recognize any benefit they make to the species the brain invokes syncope so that the individual doesn’t compete with its other members for resources. The fact that it is a unique response of humans is because of our high social interdependence.

I was hoping to share more about our project and efforts to increase public awareness of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Led by the White House, this non-partisan national initiative known as Joining Forces, calls on nurses and communities to educate themselves on the needs of PTSD patients and to dedicate themselves to providing the highest quality care to these patients. In the spirit of this initiative, we have created a resource to help not only nurses, but anyone -- family members, friends, co-workers -- better understand and recognize PTSD; steps that are critical to ensuring patients receive appropriate care and support.

The resource can be found here: http://www.rntobsn.org/resources/ptsd/. While it focuses primarily on PTSD as it affects servicemembers, much of the information is still important and relevant to non-servicemembers struggling with PTSD.

    Hi Janine,

I hope you got my message that I sent to you yesterday.

I spoke to my Associate in LA yesterday and she gave me more

details on the Hyperbolic Therapy Treatment that is available

which has been getting very good results for repairing nerves

in the Brain along with other success's with this treatment and

it would be worth while to make some inquiries in your area of

the Country to see if there is a Center near you. I know there are

some in the Southern Eastern States at some of the Medical Center's

and some University's so there may be some near you. As we have

only heard of the success's I can only make a suggestion to you to

check it out and get more data but the key to this type of treatment

seems to be getting enough oxygen to the brain so that the nerves grow

back together (that's the short version). But I suggest talking to the Specialist

on this type of Therapy. I know as you stated the your funds may be limited

but they may have some program your son may be treated under and the Specialist

may be able to help you on that and if not maybe ask him if a portable oxygen device

would be helpful as all you are trying to do is get more oxygen to your son's brain so that

the nerves heal/grow back together. I am sure he may have some other suggestions also.

If you need any further assistance feel free to send me an email.

    All the Best

    Hi Janine,

I talked to my associate in LA briefly

Friday night but it was only a short

conversation and we set up a time for

tonight (Monday) so I will email you tomorrow

(Tuesday) with the details, as I didn't

have any info for you I never got back

    to you on Sat.

    All the Best

This sounds like what I've had - a couple of times, I've smelled various flowers (when none were in the house), once paint (which I don't find unpleasant), and once cinnamon. The smells only last a few seconds to a few minutes.

I read the teacher preparation notes and I felt prepared to complete the activity myself. I think I did well but I would really like the answer to check to see if I completed the activity correctly.

    Hi Janine,

I wasn't able to get some information for you yet

so I will try to get it for you and let you know this

Saturday as it has something to do with hyperbolic

therapy and an Associate in LA told me about it as it

was getting good results with stroke victim's but I

wanted to see if she had any info on it for any

success with prefrontal lobe and nerves severings

as I don't have all the info on your son's prefontal

lobe damage but I am assuming that some nerves

have been severed so I will get back to you on Sat.

    All the Best

Still fighting for diagnosis, lifetime of debilitating symptoms dismissed. Overwhelming evidence of chiari, waiting on mri. My Most severe pain symptoms including debilitating migraines and curvature of spine that meds did nothing for have been either eliminated or greatly reduced by a unique massage therapist working out of edmonton, Alberta. He has been treating me for unbearable chiari symptoms long before I'd even heard of it. I highly recommend him for the pain, anyone close to edmonton Alberta can Google Scott kellsey rmt or contact me for more detailed information

My daughter is a 19 years pianist, started piano a six. She won a number of international competitions for young pianists. She will be offered a place in some prestigious conservatories but she will decline the offer and prefers to apply for a Maths and Music degree in a top university in UK. I stii have to understand if it is because he is upset of playing the piano or if she think to have more fun in that college !! It's a fact that playing seriously an instrument by the age of 6 and for at least 7 years change plastically your brain but then we really do not know what these changes mean, what abilities they trigger. The other way round doing mathematics to learn music does not work. It is also a fact that true musicians and real artists do not come to terms with maths, they simply do not see any interest in math. The numeric terms and anrchitecture that underpin any musical score does not suffice to explain music (fortunately). We need a human being playing that score and make it alive in its own way while sticking to the composero terms and stylistic content of the work.
