I didn't know if anyone followed this thread anymore and forgot I even signed up here and then I got an email this morning telling of your victory and I just wanted to say how happy I am for you,
This is just a guess but I think you have just been blessed, or at the very least, you know a very good doctor who actually cares.
I still have fluid coming out the right nostril and fills like fluid in my right ear and I am fairly deaf now.
No doctors seem to take this seriously and I've had one surgery for something that I don't even know what they did because I can barely hear. The doctors I see just run in the room and blah blah and back out the room, they can't go over the 15 min. only rule I guess.
All the clown doctors surgery did was make matters worse and me completely broke...
Oh well, I keep on trying and someday I hope to have your same blessings.
I am so sincerely happy for you, no doubt you have been through hell with 4 surgeries and extended stay, those surgeries don't happen back to back, so you have been at this for a long time, not forgetting how long it must have taken just for someone to have accurately diagnosed what was wrong with you in the first place.

Thank you for your inquiry. Hand tremor is a more severe (or rather more extensive) form of dytonia, usually called "restless hand", as in restless legs syndrome, restless neck/chin, or eye blinking. It is caused by strain of muscles and fasciae, not related to brain. When one injury is irritated, it causes muscle contraction, this contraction in turn triggers other injured sites to contract, thus a vicious circle to become tremor. Applying Touch-and-Hold Method on the precise injured sites, site-by-site, it takes 2-3 hours to cure, a more extensive or stubborn one may take a little longer. This injury is like tangled hair, one must carefully comb through and untangle it with a comb by hand. Anything that does not untangle the injured tissue will be ineffective, and the injury stays for a life time until treated. She is 100% right but I don't consider them to be drugs more like tools of enlightenment you have to be mentally in a good place before you take them and also just roll with wherever it takes you I have tried shrooms and acid I prefer shrooms the shroom trips where a little more intense and seemed to be higher in the god aspect of the trips where acid was more of a mellow trip but still had the same type of expierence for me the experiences where amazing its like your brain can dig deeper into things than ever before including yourself and its almost like someone is answering the questions that are coming to you
If used properly and in the right environment everything will be great and you will come out feeling reborn but state of mind and environment can be the difference between a good trip and a terrible one my advice to someone interested is do your reseach trust the supply and do it with one or more ppl that are really close to you and you really trust in a peaceful place like camping or just you and a friend at their house without anything going on like people coming over or parents finding out because that could make things turn bad really quick
The first time I ever tripped I split a quater of shrooms with my friend at bonaroo and they where really really strong and at times was a little too much but turned out great but now with a lot more experience with this I wouldn't advise anyone to do that I definitely almost freaked out a couple times but like I said just roll with it and you will be fine your not going to die just calm yourself and enjoy where it takes you

Dunno about one's face, but I do suspect that spores are the missing puzzle piece of this hypothesis.
Hi. Since my last post a lot has happened. We went to Duke in NC for an evaluation. My son has been misdiagnosed. He actually has intracranial hypertension. The 1st 2 lp readings we believe were wrong. His opening pressure is high at 25.8.. it's all very complicated. If you know for sure-100% your boy has a leak I would try a blind bloodpatch. If there is doubt I wouldn't do it... He will get worse.. The symptoms of both conditions can mimic each other. I would make sure the lp was done under fluoroscopy so you know for sure the needle was put in the correct spot..it seems hard to believe but told by Duke that many NS do not how to get accurate reading which can lead to misdiagnosis of low & pressure may actually be high.
I wish you the best! I know how very difficult it is to have a sick child. We are trying different combo of meds to treat my son's condition. It continues to be difficult & a daily struggle. He has now been diagnosed with occipital neuralgia which is result of his surgeries. It's all very difficult. We just have to maintain hope & pray that as they grow their bodies can correct & overcome some of this. We have an IEP meeting at the school tomorrow & need to come up with a good plan to attempt to get our son an education. Like you said, hard to function & concentrate if brain not working right.

I got my scans last week and they didn't find the leak. I'm going back to the hospital in 2 weeks

My son has been have a positional headache since August, 2016. I check online a lot. I think you might need to get a second opinion
in case misdiagonosis if you have a good insurance. You can check online to find good clinic for this disease. My son quitted the school because attending school made his symptom more serious and the doctor still suggests him to go to school. If it is SIH or Fluid leak, the patient needs a lot of bedrest . My son is still non-functional, but he looks normal and he just couldn't use his brain to think, sensitive to sound and light. I think my son's situation is a little better than yours. We are still waiting for doing blind blood patch.

This activity does a great job reviewing and reinforcing Medelian and modern genetics. As a teacher, it also gave me the opportunity to show sex linked traits and we had a good discussion about how random meiosis truly is. Definitely take the time to make the chromosomes on colored paper! I am also thinking of including pictures of the parental dragons or supplementing the instructions a bit. Students struggled with the phenotype and genotype of the parent dragons. I was a little surprised by that.
I'm a nurse and for couple of years9had so much pain in the lower part of my body and never paid much attention to it, I thought it is just because of the work and as an emergency nurse no way for resting made my pain more severe and couldn't stand on my legs anymore. Visited couple of stupid doctors till I met a specialist in that field and here we go # you have fibromyalagia. Pain every inch of my body . Summer is OK winter it kills my brain, endep 25mg I take but it drives me nuts that I can't work or do anything physical work at all. I have to stop here I don't want to bore anyone.
Thank you for your input. I have been aware of the reversed letters, but have not fixed them because of my technical limitations. Now that I am aware that this creates a problem for student learning, I will put this on my list of things to fix this summer.

I have decided from now on, if I were feeling manic/stressed/disagreeable about work: I will never email or write in these times, nor try to alter the status quo; and I would take leave from work, have therapy, regain perspective. Re relationships - still working that out, a similar approach, but still working it out....next time huh?

This thread is enlightening for me too.
I have childhood onset BP, only know worked out at age 40 y.o. - my childhood onset would have been hard for anyone to see, with a high IQ, I was prone to existential crises for an early age (see Dabrowski's work - existential depression in gifted children & adults). Thus, I grew up feeling different but feeling normal at the same time - I had really known no other way to think.
So, I have been unmedicated my whole life and I don't want to start. I am aware like you, of how to manage my depression, and now my hypomanias/manias - I have never reached psychosis, I am not that extreme. I have always led and searched for a healthy lifestyle, which I will do more and more.
Likewise, my favourite authors/poets have BP.
I am trying to now use my brain differently, with my new acceptance of BP.
Would be interested in talking more to you.
Thank you for sharing this activity. I used it with 9th graders. The only issue that I had was some of the "S" and "P" letters on the nucleotides were flipped. Therefore, after the students created their models some were confused if the strands of DNA were really the same. Otherwise, the activity worked well.
