Lydia and Maiya's Presentation

Intro: Lydia and I saw this presentation as an opportunity to reflect, through visual methods, on our semester together. In the following presentation, we have illustrated images in a chalkboard drawing, demonstrating the connections between the various things we have learned. We view this as a commentary of what we saw to be important pertaining to the way our world functions and what we saw needed to change in our society. Try to follow the sequencing of imagery and take to heart the meanings of the drawings.

Watch Video.

Finale: 2pac, Michael Jackson, Supersize Me, Taylor Mali, Al Gore, and Mr. Obama himself have all made a call for change in the way we eat and the way we treat each other as a result. Use their words to insight change in your own life. Use them to inspire!

It’s time for us as a people to start makin’ some changes.

If this ever-growing paradigm is going to shift, it's up to you.

Let’s change the way we eat, lets change the way we live

The bottom line: They're a business, no matter what they say. And by selling you unhealthy food, they make millions.

And no company wants to stop doing that.

Let’s change the way we treat each other.

Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time.

You see the old way wasn’t working so it’s on us to do

what we gotta do, to survive.

It’s not enough to question authority.

We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.

I’m starting with the man in the mirror.

The hour of choosing has arrived
