mental health: "blunt and personal"

Maybe the "personal" is what we need more of in thinking about mental health? See From the Inside. Maybe its not so much "complexity" that provides the greatest challenge in "mental" as opposed to "physical" health, but rather a generally greater dependence on the "personal"?
