I'm also having trouble with

I'm also having trouble with the black vs white definition... Everything I come up with seems to have too many exceptions to be a "definition." But I guess a general guideline to mental health would be an ability to function in a society. Although, shamans and oracles way back when were functioning in a society and still would be considered mentally ill by today's standards so... I'm not sure function is the greatest way to measure mental health, but I have no idea how else you could do it.
