the route to mental health?

"How do we "step outside of ourselves" and know, if it can be "known" that there are alternative stories?"

By appreciating the generative capacity of the brain that is inherent in its organization? Doing things that enhance that capacity to conceive alternative stories? And avoiding doing things that gum up that capacity?
