After talking to Hallie in person in class on Thursday, it was interesting to revisit this piece. I was surprised to hear that it had not been an easy piece for her to write - she didn't have any moments where inspiration struck, so instead, she forced herself to write every day. This was startling to me, since the piece seemed to flow very well. However, perhaps it was easier for her to write in different styles because she was writing separate parts of the piece every day.
