Uncrypting the Crypt - Some Suggestions

You should get more of Dawkin's books. He is a bit of a loon, but his ideas are successfully extended into the "layman's" population.

Also, "Stumbling on Happiness" by Daniel Gilbert is a fascinating look into why and how we can sometimes 'chose' to be unhappy, how we can figure it out when we are, and how we can change that situation by thinking about what little control we do have over ourselves.
