Don't Waste Your Gift

In my childhood, what I was doing the most in a day was playing. I played with my friends every day. We played at park, played video games at home, climbed trees, explored new places, and sometimes we played tag inside apartment buildings, which ended up to make our teachers or neighborhoods angry. We experienced lots of plays. Above all, my most enjoyable time was when I was drawing pictures with my friends or even alone. I could forget any other things while I was drawing. The time past faster while drawing. There are piles of pictures I had drawn in my childhood. I drew almost everyday and my drawing skill was getting better day by day. My mom, friends, everyone around me praised my pictures, which made me happy and confident. My dream was to become a comic writer. However, I stopped drawing when I became a junior high school student. There were two main reasons for it. Firstly, I knew the importance of studying. Secondly, I realized that a comic writer is an unstable occupation. Therefore I put my concentration on studying and forgot the joyful of drawing. Now, I regret that I stopped drawing everyday because I cannot draw well when I sometimes scribble in my notebooks or textbooks. If I kept drawing from my childhood, I might have been able to draw much better. I have a little sister who is ten years old and she is a frantic drawer. She draws many more pictures than I did in her age. I don't want her to waste her gift so I will encourage her not to stop drawing.
