Does this work?

Mystery can pertain:

to the inquirer (my reach is limited)

to the inquired-into (it is beyond comprehension)

to the future (it is not yet)

to the past (we can tell new stories about it)

or to interesting combinations of these:

 --as the inquirer grows and changes, different things become available to inquiry

-- as different things become available to inquiry, new stories of the past become possible

And still the future is untold
