I think some other reasons

I think some other reasons that talk therapy is not as popular as medication is simply because of supply and demand.  There are not enough good therapists who have the time and can afford to help all the people that need it.  As we talked about in class, therapy has become the norm around the Upper East Side because those are the people who can afford it.  Maybe if there was some way to provide good, easily accessible, cheaper therapy more people would try it instead of medication.  

I read an article awhile ago about computerized psychotherapy, which was really interesting.  I wonder if this is the future of talk therapy:
