Interesting indeed. Are we "making the same mistake"? Or could it be that new stories take a while to work their way into the unconscious? And that even with new stories, we are still reacting in terms of an unconscious that reflects older stories? Maybe that's why therapy tends to take a long time? And symptoms remain even after people think they understand the problem?

We'll see.  Maybe we should revisit our "cases" at the end of the semester?
