organizing emerges without a hierarchy

Taking advantage of interactions among students seems essential if one is trying to understand their individual students and the groups that are formed in class. Group process will emerge without any control coming from the teacher. It seems that we educators can use the information about group membership and individual roles by carefully observing the subgroups. Using this information as one sculpts lessons, environment and feedback to students may make meaning more relevant to students
