Societal Need for the Evolution of Stories

Stories are an integral part of our lives as humans. Stories have been in existence for as long as human have been in existence and have been experiencing things. The ways in which the stories are told have been ever changing and have developed throughout the ages. Stories were first told in the oral tradition and then written down. Many stories have been taken and changed in various ways throughout history and time has worked on them again and again. They are often open to interpretation and are changed in whatever manner the storyteller sees fit. The evolution of a story is often in parallel with changes which are occurring in society and culture. They are often told in response to a social necessity.

Sexuality & Evolution

Sexuality & Evolution

Gender has played a large role throughout human history even from the earliest stages of life. Gender used to be a solid ridge order which was not questioned and almost never breached, but now we are living in a different time and the lines have been blurred. Hence science has also become involved to a greater degree with gender and with science, evolution. With the advances in modern technology and medicine it has become possible to change sexes, though not fully functioning. This type of surgery has often been called gender reassignment. Gender and sex however are not to be confused for one another. They each refer to different things and have impacted very different parts of human development; sex is the biological and gender is the social and psychological. Is it really possible for medicine to advance so much that it can potentially change nature as it was and reassign sex?

The Change of the Simple

The simplistic gives rise to the complex, which in turn gives rise to the simplistic, which then gives rise to the complex again, etc. This is something that will never change; the simple and complex are codependent—one cannot exist without the other. However, the forms of the simple and complex change with each cycle. They can never be exactly the same twice; however, they can manifest similar forms in the future which can also be defined as simple and complex. Everything which we are and will be is constantly changing based on time and influence, but to our minds and as a part of this cycle we perceive the cycle as linear and never changing because we do not wish to see before or beyond what we are. Even the smallest thing in our existence influences something in us and creates change. Change is inevitable but it comes in forms which are different each time.
