First of all, great name for the scientist. Although you shared your comic previously for the class, reading your own description of certain moments, such as  Trial 1 choosing to use the ramp instead of the stairs, was truly insightful. Rather than committing to make Trial 1 the perfect life form, pivoting to making the environment a more accessible space for Sunny is exactly how disability should be approached in our society today.

I really loved how the comic reinforces the idea that people can change for the better. It doesn't hinge on the scientist being an evil figure for the whole comic; it is a heartwarming example of how being yourself and showing care can influence people (the scientist) positively. The prevailing theme of humanity and nature overcoming synthetic, societally constructed standards felt like a great representation of the disability justice movement. Sunny's whimsical nature shows this by contradicting the scientist's rigid structure, even going down the steps in a unique way (and arguably more efficiently). Researching accessibility for my project, I found the final panel of your comic, where Eugene decides to make the laboratory more accessible, to be a great message. Society seems to want people to change rather than adapt the environment surrounding them, so seeing the opposite as the conclusion was awesome!
