half way done

The first half of Literary Kinds definitely went way beyond my expectations. I was expecting to like the class, but I've found that I really love it. The free discussion and lack of raised hands, while it may have taken some getting used to, is at this point proving beneficial to the flow of ideas. The fact that class is a conversation has made me much more receptive to everything that's being said, which in turn makes it easier to learn.

I'm also glad that we spent such a long time studying blogs, since I'm sure that I won't really have too much of a chance to do something like this again. I was really surprised to learn so much about the medium and just how many academic works are actually available and published online. Blogging myself has been somewhat of a problem, though. I absolutely love the idea, but searching through everyone else's stuff, and trying to post my blog-papers are huge pains. it's really just the interface though.

Overall, I'm enthusiastically satisfied with the way the class has developed so far !
