Hi Victoria!
I absolutely loved your project and how fun and straightforward you made your website. I really appreciate how much research you did on this topic and the examples you gave of other accessible products. I had never realized that the lid of rare beauty products had a purpose other than aesthetics. I really liked how you showed your design process and clearly stated what needed to be improved. This could definitely help other people wanting to create similar projects in the future. I also love your extra ideas for advocacy such as giving disabled artists a space for their work. I think that this product and artwork could spark conversation and lead to a whole new line of accessible tupperware, chips bags, yoghurt containers, and other grocery store products.

Victoria this is such an amazing project!! There are so many facets of everyday life that are inaccessible and remain inaccessible. I think your project highlights the idea that making something as overlooked as a cereal box accessible really opens the door to bigger conversations about accessibility. I love the way you showed multiple protoypes and your process behind desinging the box as it can act as sort of a blueprint to inspire the production of other accessible items. I also appreciated you referecing other items already in the market that have been made accesible. This sets the standard that this is a possibility across industries and companies are choosing not to make their items accessible. I think it is important to support brands that have taken this effort and initiative to show that this is a real issue that needs to be addressed. I can tell you put a lot of thought into this and am excited to see what you do next for the final! Maybe you can workshop a way to make more everyday items accessible?!
Victoria, this is awesome!

Victoria, this is awesome! First, I really liked how you chose a small/mundane object to focus on in the project. I think this choice reflects how everyday objects and actions might not be the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about accessibility in design. I think where this project is really strong is where you include your different prototypes and where they fall short. Guiding us through your process in this way, it is clear how both design/practicality and accesibility principles were taken into consideration for each component of your boxes. You also make room for possible art choices (highlighting art made by disabled individuals) and environmental considerations of this box, which is cool!
