Part-time Summer TA Position at Haverford
Heather Curl will be teaching a course called "Mobility or Reproduction" in a five-week summer program for incoming Haverford first year students. There will be eight students in the class and your responsibilities as a TA would include: attending and preparing for class, teaching (and preparing for) one (1 hour) weekly discussion section, meeting weekly with Heather, supporting students' independent research projects / writing and helping to organize one interview with an outside expert for each student. Education or qualitative research experience is a plus! The position involves up to 15 hours per week from June 26 to July 28, 2017. The pay rate is $10.75 per hour. Program Assistant for a Pedagogy Institute at Bryn Mawr
Heather Curl and Maggie Powers (an Ed alum) are building and running a summer institute for a cohort of 16 teachers from China during the second half of July. The position includes curriculum design, program development, logistics / planning and some teaching / facilitating if interested. The position involves up to 15 hours per week during the first two weeks of July and full time / on call responsibility during the last two weeks of July (17th to the 28th).
