This is an article I came across, (albeit from Buzzfeed, but it's in their news section) recently, discussing a program in Austin, TX that has separated middle school boys and girls into two separate "leadership academies." It's a longform article, and goes in depth to talk to teachers and students at the schools–worth a read, if you're interested!
(Also interesting to note the language of "saving" poor kids)
