Main points and question about Latour

ally's picture

The main points

  1. Objectivity is gone. Humans made it none sense because of their subverting the laws of objectivity. Being a subject is no longer about autonomous. There’s a contractual bond, and we have to act in a cooperative environment.
  2. As human agents, thing really preventing us from truly reading natural entities is not overanimation but is making judgments influenced by the previous notions or knowledge, “phusimorphizing”
  3. It’s not about returning to the nature, but about abandoning all the notions like subjectivity, objectivity, mastery, followers and go to the ground, be earth bounded.

Question

When mentioning “in the real world time flows from future to the present”, does Latour mean we should have perspectives from the future, and get rid of the influence of history?
