I think I'm glad I was alone

After lunch today, I was halfway back to Brecon before I realized it was as good a time as any to head on into the woods. I have a sore throat so obviously I'd already drank about four gallons of tea by this point; I had a warmth in my body and my feet were ready to walk. I usually always listen to my iPod, so I had to force myself to put it away so I could try to listen. The wind was being broken by the leaves, and further muffled by my hood. I looked at the trees, and saw the leaves shivering just as much as I was. The leaves underneath would have been crunchier if it hadn't been so rainy yesterday. Honestly, I tried to take a big whiff of the place but all it did was make my nose go numb. Ten minutes in, I had to consciously walk slower because, well, I still had twenty minutes left, so why rush things? I came to the same group of trees as rokojo, and seeing all of the meaningful messages, I decided to carve my own—three letters, one l(egg)acy: EGG. Throwing my handy carving-rock aside, I looked at my dirty hands, wondering what minerals were there that caused my fingers to appear sparkly.

Then I realized I was alone, and that never usually happens, because you're almost always within speaking distance of somebody on this campus, so I thought it was a good idea to just belt out Disney songs because, well, yeah. The one disney song I know the best is Colors of the Wind, which was... oddly appropriate, so I just hope nobody heard the far-off screeching of you can own the earth and still all you'll own is earth unTIILLLL YOU CAN PAAAAAAINT WITH ALL THE COLORS . . OF . . THE .. WIIIIIIIND . .   .
