Just a little about me...

My name is Julie and I am a 6th grade science teacher at Klinger Middle School. I am also the coach of the girls' soccer team in the spring and the assistant coach of the boys, soccer team in the fall. During the winter, I supervise the very small science fair club.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading as an indoor hobby and being outside as a general hobby. I am currently competing (and I use that term loosely) in a mountain bike series where I usually come in last place in my division, but I can sometimes beat a few little girls and older men.

My husband and I have been married for almost three years, and most of it has been spent remodeling our house. We are currently in a holding pattern in finishing our kitchen and working very hard on our family room, which used to be entirely green. Green tile on the floor, green tile on the fireplace, window sills, bay window sill, green paint on the walls, green radiator covers, outlets, outlet covers...you get my point...so when we are finished with it, there will be no more green!

I have one brother and one sister. We are pretty close- my brother lives in San Diego and I was just out visiting him a few weeks ago- he lives across the street from the beach. My sister lived with me in my house after she graduated from college until I got married and she bought a house of her own. My parents still live in the house that they've lived in since we were kids, coincidentally in the community in which I currently teach.
