How many teachers observe the daily struggles their student exhibit during reading and writing instruction?

Do your students have difficulty sharing materials, low level of interest and are very aggressive physically and verbally towards each other?

If your answer is yes to the above questions, we as educators share a common problem.

To address this problem I decided to use my Indian heritage as an example,to help eliminate some of the socialization issues that exist in my class.My goal is to share Cherokee Indian legends,history,music and art as a tool to help strengthen self esteem issues.
