Government intervention in climate control

I read an article about how Obama has made a big effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.  A huge increase in solar electricity and the use of wind power has helped the U.S. use cleaner forms of energy to help imporve the environmental state.  Also,the Administration has improved vehicle models to save millions of barrels of oil.
