The first paragraph I want to discuss is on page 90 when Charmey who juggled the vegtables. This isn't the most important paragraph to show the relationship between identity and enviroment but supports it. In this society they use these vegtables for entertainment too because it is so essential to their identities.
On 91 they give more factual information about biotechnology referring to it as "perverted". They try to discourage eating the chemically engineered vegtables and food. This shows the relationship because it shows there push to stay connected with naturally grown produce which is imporant in their society.
My third paragraph that is important is on page 113 where Momoko got that letter about the people who planted the Kyoto Three Feets. They said how it brought them happiness to plant the trees again, and I think this once again shows how connected people people become with their environment despite it not originating from the US. This intrigues me because it is like how bringing "exotic" or foreign plants brings happiness to people but reminds me that it is not always seen this way when it comes to human beings from different places who arent always accepted with the same gratitude.
Although plants and humans have different identities but the environment brings us together.
