The Corner Store

 

Once, my uncle Al and I were watching the fourth inning of a baseball game. At that point, my uncle sent me to the corner store for a few groceries. I took the grocery list and the money and left for the store. On the way back, I stopped off at a friend's house. When my uncle asked what took me so long, I told him this story. On the way back, I noticed a pidegeon laying eggs near the trunk of a tree. The pidgeon then took each egg up one by one to a nest it had just built. My uncle asked me how did it keep the other pidgeons from bothering the eggs on the ground. I told him there were no other pidgeons around, so it wasn't a problem. He immediately knew something was wrong with my story. Do you?
