Does behavior change = brain change ?
We've asserted that the females of this type of fish (Thalassoma) have the ability to change sex when the aggressive supermales are taken out of the group. "Changing sex" means they become more aggressive, "court" females, and change color. What causes this extreme change in behavior?
Well, let's consider that for a moment . . . We said earlier that different animals probably have different brains based on the thought that these animals behave differently. So-- what if an individual of one species behaves differently than an individual of another species? Then, maybe their brains are different as well!?
