Ann Dixon Ann Dixon,
Serendip Co-Founder and Webmaster

Born in 1994 as a collaboration with Paul Grobstein, Serendip has become an international resource, with more than 30,000 pages, 3,500 websites in the U.S. linking here and more than 100,000 visitors stopping by each week.

Ann graduated from Bryn Mawr College with an A.B. in English in 1983, and has an M.S.E. in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania. She was Senior Director of the School of Arts and Sciences Computing department at Penn from 1995-97, where she worked with faculty to teach with technology.

She is a founding partner in Bolderwomen, a website development company based in Boulder, Colorado, specializing in websites for small businesses and nonprofits. Bolderwomen returns over 5% of its net profit to the community.

When Ann isn't on Serendip, she enjoys working for and volunteering at The Community Foundation Serving Boulder County, and loves community gardening and the non-profit Growing Gardens of Boulder County. She was on the board of the Open Door Fund for many years and co-chaired their fundraising dinner in 2001 and 2002. Since then, Ann has joined the board of the Donor Sibling Registry and has been focused on the rebuilding of New Orleans. She can be reached at Serendip .
