Building Two-Way Bridges:
A Conversation about Gender and Science

The initial set of Dialogues in reaction to Writing Descartes provoked, for me, quite a range of further conversations: discussions I was having with friends and colleagues, as well as various sorts of reading I was doing, wove themselves together into a series of linked conversations in my mind. On the one hand, you might say that this page is an archive of me talking with myself--but another way of characterizing what is recorded here is as a series of conversations with a wide range of friends, both local and distant in space and time, both alive and dead, who occupy my brain, a space of insistently "social activity."
