The Brain, Reflecting on Itself

With the explosive growth of information about the brain comes an obvious question ... "what is it good for?" or "are we actually learning anything that makes any difference?" To make a difference, information about the brain should not just be information about the brain, nor information that confirms (or seems to confirm) understandings about other things that we already had. To make a difference, information about the brain should usefully change how we think about and/or do other things. Has it? Gathered here are some explorations of how knowing something about the brain might change how one thinks about and does other things. See what you think. Add your thoughts to the forum area. And if you know of something that you think contributes to the exploration, or want to write something yourself that would be useful here, let us know.
