Trying to always get it less wrong:

  • "Brain=Behavior, there isn't anything else"?

  • "Wholes are more than the sum of their parts."

  • "Randomness plays a role in the exploration of possible wholes."

  • "Play is not purely entertainment or a luxury to be given up when things get serious."

  • "Diversity is neither incidental nor detrimental. It is, instead, essential to the success of any biological entity."

WELCOME ...

Serendip is a gathering place for people who suspect that life's instructions are always ambiguous and incomplete ... and hence need to be continually examined and rewritten. Conceived in 1994 as an interacting and developing system, not unlike a living organism, Serendip is both an expanding forum and a continually developing set of resources to explore and support intellectual and social change in education, in social organization... and in how one makes sense of life.

Come on in. Browse around. You'll find interactive exhibits, articles, links to other websites, and places to read the thoughts of other visitors and to leave your own. If it fits particularly well, you are welcome to think of Serendip as home and to join us in contributing to its further (serendipitous) evolution. In any case, you can let us know what you think at www@serendip.brynmawr.edu
