Bryn Mawr College Centers for 21st Century Inquiry

Bryn Mawr's new Centers for 21st Century Inquiry encourage innovation and collaboration in research, teaching and learning. Conceived as part of the College's Plan for a New Century, the four interrelated, interdisciplinary Centers are designed to bring together scholars from various fields to examine diverse ways of thinking about areas of common interest, creating a stage for constant academic renewal and transformation.

Serendip is a gathering place for people who suspect that life's instructions are always ambiguous and incomplete ... and hence need to be continually examined and rewritten. Serendip is both an expanding forum and a continually developing set of resources to explore and support intellectual and social change in education, in social organization... and in how one makes sense of life.
