Talking Toward Techno-Pedagogy 2001:

A Collaboration Across Colleges and Constituencies

Our goals for the Workshop:

* Foster communication across constituencies.

* Help everyone develop confidence in what they are doing and confidence enough to ask what else could they or others be doing

* Identify/share vocabulary and ways of talking to one another

* Build foundations for future collaboration and long-term relationships

Expectations for Participation the Workshop:

* Complete a needs analysis form by May 15th that will be posted on the website and used for discussion and planning purposes throught the workshop.

* Participate in all workshop sessions from 4:30 p.m. Monday, June 4th through 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 7th.

* Collaborate with Team members during the workshops to identify how technology may either help or hinder the teaching-learning process and design or reconstruct a course that will be taught in the 2001-2002 academic year.

* Submit a brief one-page overview of the proposed project before leaving the workshop on June 8th.

Desired Follow-Up to Workshop:

* Engage in conversations/meetings with Team members prior to fall semester 2001 to work out the details of the proposed project.

* Submit a 3-5 page written conceptualization/description of the project by September 15, 2001.

* Implement some or all of the proposed project during academic year 2001-02.

* Attend follow-up workshop on at a time to be arranged during the fall semester.

* Submit a written assessment of the project by June 2002.
