process - the transition from some initial to some final state, for example the process of a ball starting in the air and ending on the ground
path - one particular way that some process can happen
phase - a hidden variable associated with every process and every path, this term will be made clear by example

Concepts
The following are a few concepts to keep in mind while going through the exhibit. These are important concepts because they are themes particular to quantum mechanics they directly violate the classical ideas we naturally have about the world we normally deal with.

• in quantum mechanics there is no way to tell how a process got from start to finish, we can only say what the probability of that particular process is
• each process has associated with it a probability and a phase, the probability is exactly what it sounds, the likelyhood that the process will happen, the phase however is a subtle, hidden variable that can only be observed indirectly but underlies the most important results of quantum mechanics
