The (Continuing) Evolution of My Mind/(Brain?)
An Engagement with Dan Gottlieb

Wednesday, 31 March, 2004
Thomas Great Hall
Bryn Mawr College

Dan Gottlieb is a family therapist, Inquirer columist and author of Voices of Conflict, Voices of Healing, and host of WHYY's Voices in the Family. On this occasion Dan will reflect on the evolution of his own mind and its relation to/dependence on/engagement with the minds of others. Paul Grobstein, a neurobiologist and Director of the Center for Science in Society at Bryn Mawr College, will assist in the exploration, with successive expansions of the conversation to include additional Bryn Mawr faculty members and the audience.

The evening is intended to both encourage and model a broad approach to understanding the meaning and importance of "mental health" and the variety of ways in can be promoted both professionally and personally. Relevant materials will be made available on this website and an on-line forum will be available for continuing conversation both before and after the Wednesday evening event.
