Hmmmm. So now we have not only the question of whether there is something one would die for but also ... the question of whether "free inquiry" is or is not a good idea ... then, and now. And whether genetic engineering can/should be used to make "perfect" human beings. And whether people with the same genes are the same ... and whether males and females, with different genes, are different. That ought to keep us going for a while.

Different cultures tell different stories about the similarities and differences between females and males. The cultural stories are told and retold, and hence change over time. At a given time in a given culture, different individuals tell different stories about the similarities and differences between females and males, and these too change over time as thy are retold. What story would you tell today about the similarities and differences between females and males? Using a few words/phrases/sentences, sketch the outline of your story.

I think that men and women are different in many ways. Physically, men and women have different parts and uses of these parts. Further women have to go through more bodily pain then men, i.e. periods and giving birth and even menopause. Emotionally, women tend to express their emotions better and more often then males. Women also seem to be able to take responsibility more often and are able to better sollow their pride and admit when their wrong, an example being that women will stop and ask for directions while most men will just keep going and hope that they arrive at the correct destination. Further women use more of their intuition, for instance the intuition of a mother when her child is in trouble or danger or when their child is unwell. Their also seems to be a stronger bond between mother and child, because the child has come from the mother and so is more connected to her. Although some studies say that men are smarter than women, i do not believe that that is true, because you have a whole college of women just as smart as or smarter than those haver boys.

There are certain differences between males and females that are due to something more than the influences of society but rather innate tendencies. There are, of course, exceptions to any of these, but I believe them to be generally applicable. Women are more comfortable sorting things verbally and rationally, where men would rather act intuitively. Even at a very young age, girls are more verbally adept where boys tend to be better at mathemtics and such.

I always thought that male and females are two entirely different cretures.The main difference lies wihin thier emotional and intellitual abilities. Even though both male and females are highly intellitual and emotional beings. Females are a lot more keen to their emotions than males are. This i call female intuition and it is something inborn and can not be improved upon by practice or experience. Males on the other hand, tend to be a lot more rational. Though lackin in this female keeness. They are able to use logic to sort things out which makes them more calm, easy going creatures, using their heads only when nessasary.

I think a lot of the differences in gender is in the behaviour; much of this behaviour comes from how the child was raised, which reflects the beliefs and values of the society. What is interesting to me is why society has developed these values. For example, girls are generally raised to be more social than boys (at least the ways in which they are social differ greatly....)

Where to begin? Aside from the obvious anatomical differences, men and women think and go about their activities differently. How the hell am i going to explain their differences? Women are better, so there hahaha
I think a society where women dominate, even secretly, would be awesome. Yeah, let the women come first (for once) and let those mysogonists bow down. I'm not feeling a story right now, but i'll let ya know soon. The women will definitely see a change in role

In to days society, males and females are in a great competition. The men, so used to the exceptance that they are the dominant half of the species, struggle to retain what they feel is their god given glory. Women on the other hand feel like they are being denied thier rights to equality. They have for years suffered under the oppressive ideas of the American culture, that they are now angry and bitter, and out for blood. SO the differences in my opinion are like summing up the positives and negatives of two opposing sports teams. Mentally, Women are just the same as men. However, it is physically that they differ, the men are obviously for the most part stronger and now that our species has evolved to such a point their strength is no longer useful they feel that they are threatened. Personality wise men and women have different values. This I strongly believe, where men are searching for someone to take care of them, and look up to them, someone to make them feel secure. Women are looking for someone that is low matinence, and giving, and actually tries to listen to what they say. There are so many things I can't even begin to say.

I would tell the story of how the roles of males and females are changing in the home nad in the work place. The males are becoming more domestic and less aaggressive as they stay home to raise the family while the female is in the office or out working asserting herself and fighting for her rights as a person. They both can play the same role more eaily now then before and realize more how to work together. There are still problems and on differnece is that males are still consider the stronger sex therefore females are still left behind at times.

Men and Women are very different creatures. While men feel the need to be always right, women usually *are* right. Men refuse to ask for directions, because it makes them seem less invulnerable. Women admit to being vulnerable so do not worr about it. Men do not know how to express themselves, while women express themselves constantly. For the most part, women are better off than men.
