Yes, it was my favorite class this semester. I learned so much about the world around me and myself.
I would advise others to take it because it helps you become a better writer and reader. Yes, this course was beneficial and I would highly recommend it to any student because of the great discussion we generated in class. The class was worth taking because it opened me up to new ideas that I had never thought of before. I would advise others to take it. Yes, I would highly recommend it because the things you learn are applicable to every facet of life; you learn how to think. If they were interested in learning some debateable topics, then its a good course to take. If someone likes to discuss theories, I would. For concrete thinkers, "What is a story" could have been bad. I enjoyed it and I'd recommend it to some. The class was worth taking. But whoever will take it will never know its worth until the middle or nearly the end of the semester. I recommend it for other students, but with the advice to be patient at the beginning. |
It was pretty good for a seminar, an exercise in free thought, although I don't think I learned much of substance. Maybe/maybe not.
Maybe. I really wanted to take "Encounters with the Unconscious", but this wasn't half-bad compared to lots of csems. Maybe, maybe not. I'm unsure about this. I liked class size and discussions a lot but sometimes I disliked the readings and topics of writing and discussion. It was pretty good for a seminar, an exercise in free thought, although I don't think I learned much of substance. Maybe/maybe not. I would not have taken this course. There were conversations I liked, but overall I don't feel like I've become a better writer like I wanted to. I wouldn't advise C-sems in general because the writing assignments don't teach you to write for college. |
