Part 2:

The Hall at the Top
of the Stairs...

A year ago, there was an art installation in the basement of English House,

which caused me to think about that space as the location of the
(painful? wounded?) collective unconscious of the building
--and my work upstairs as an expression of consciousness.

Coming now upon this new installation,
as I walked up the stairs and down the halls,
was for me an invitation to think about
revising the conscious dimension of this space as well.

I was seeing images from professors' bulletin boards re-worked,
in the form of construction paper cut-outs,
open windows filled in with paper,
with color and images and words...
