We welcome you to this forum area for discussing issues related to balancing work and family roles. We invite you to share your thoughts here on these and related matters. The impetus for this forum is the Bryn Mawr Work and Family Study, which is surveying Bryn Mawr alumnae who graduated in the early 1980s about their current work and family experiences (for more information, see: http://serendipstudio.org/local/scisoc/workfamily/) We hope this forum will provide the opportunity to broaden the conversation beyond the necessarily narrow focus of the questionnaires in the study. We welcome your comments and hope that the forum will be a place for conversations that are useful to Alumnae and to others beyond the College.

We are grateful for the number of responses we have received to our initial mailing of materials for the Bryn Mawr Work and Family Study. If you have already completed and sent us the first phase of questionnaires, we will be contacting you by phone regarding the second phase. We welcome your comments about our study on this forum and look forward to hearing from more of you.
