This experiment is being conducted in connection with an undergraduate class in Human Cognition at Bryn Mawr College. This research is for educational purposes only. Your participation is fully voluntary, and you may decline to participate in the experiment at any time. Data will be collected anonymously. There is no cost or compensation for your participation. This study involves no risks. There are no anticipated benefits to the subject or to others as a result of the study other than the educational value to students in the course. If you agree to participate in the experiment, you will hear words spoken and see pictures presented on your computer screen. You may hear a word and see a picture simultaneously or separately. You may also be asked to perform a simple activity involving clicking the mouse button in response to a stimulus. Later, you will be asked questions about what you saw and heard.
