Measuring how water travels in plants.{Student worksheet1}

Materials:

  • Celery stalk with leaves,
  • jar, water, different food colors,
  • paper 1/4",1/2",inch ruler.

    Procedure:

  • Cut the bottom of the celery stalk
  • Observe and draw a picture of the bottom here:






  • Fill the jar with water to 3" and add your food color.
  • Put in your celery stalk overnight.

    Prediction : What do you think will happen? Explain your prediction.
